A must-see 11 day internationa event, the Brisbane Asia Pacific Film Festival is screening more than 75 films from 19 to 29 November all across Brisbane.
This festival will progam multi-award winning features and documentaries, highlights from the festival circuit and a curated showcase of the best films from the Asia Pacific. Films from over 30 countries from the Asia Pacific region, including Australia, New Zealand, China, Korea, Japan, Iran, Turkey and Russia will be shown at cinemas across Brisbane.
From a 34 second Japanese animated short to a five and a half hour epic about the Philippines under the Marcos Regime. Other highlights include a screening of 'Crossroads of Youth', Korea's oldest silent film, 'Winter Sleep' the Palme d'Or winner from Cannes 2014, and the world premiere of 'Blood Links', the story of Australian Artist William Yang's search for his Chinese ancestors.
