It seems like an unlikey match-up, but it works. Iconic actor and comedian Bill Murray and world famous celllist Jan Vogler come together and bring their New World tour Down Under. Catch them at Queensland Performing Arts Centre this November.
Murray and Vogler met and formed a friendship in New York. It seemed likely that they would collaborate on a project that brings together their creative and artistic gifts. The actor and the cellist join forces to create a unique show.
The show is a walk through history and literature. Twain, Hemingway, Cooper, Bernstein, Gershwin and Foster have gifted the world with their genius. They painted a picture of the world that is filled with life, energy and creativity, ‘New World’.
America and Europe meet as reflected in the backgrounds of the group. Mr. Murray describes it as what happens when continents come together and music moves right across peninsulas from one to the other. Music is the bridge that connects people.
Catch this exciting encounter between music and literature as two virtuosos in their own worlds collide.
“The evening’s journey was unpredictable and effecting – old fashioned entertainment that was sophisticated but with zip and heart.” Globe & Mail
“…a performance sure to delight and entertain all tastes, whether you love literature, classical music or Bill Murray.” ZealNYC
