Here’s just a small selection of the things to see and do close to our Wesley Hospital Accommodation.

Shopping and Dining

Just a short stroll from Inn on the Park, the café strip on cosmopolitan Park Road is one of the city’s most popular places to shop, dine and unwind. Take your pick from an array of bistros, cafes and intimate international restaurants offering everything from authentic Thai to modern Australian cuisine. Little Stanley Street on the Southbank Parklands is another great choice for international dining, with plenty of chic fashion boutiques and live buskers to enjoy as you look for the perfect lunch spot. Toowong Village Shopping Centre, located just a stone’s throw from Inn on the Park, is home to a wide selection of fashion, food, gift and electrical stores.

Explore the rolling lawns of the beautiful Southbank Parklands, cool off with a dip in the tropical lagoon-style pool at Streets Beach or gather friends and family for a barbecue overlooking the river. Kick back in the sun at Anzac Park or discover a haven of tranquillity in the heart of Brisbane at The City Botanic Gardens.

Culture and Entertainment

The eclectic bars and clubs of the West End offer some of the best opportunities to catch an up and coming band in the city, while the RNA Showgrounds and Gabba Stadium can be relied on for world class concerts from international artists, live sporting events, trade shows and art exhibitions all year round. There’s something to interest everybody at the museums of the Southbank Parklands, just across the river from our University of Queensland Accommodation. For live theatre, you’ll find a busy programme of Australian and international productions at the city’s Powerhouse, Playhouse and Cremorne Theatres.
